LINCOLNSHIRE LYMERICKES
Not a classic,
the school play in Cammeringham
Their lines they forgot, or were stammeringham
But at football they're Killingham
The goals, they're just Fillingham
Despite the odd Hackthorn, they're Hammeringham
A family butcher called Odling
Would wrap up his best joints in swaddling
He said it did render
The meat much more tender
But I reckon that's mollycoddling
So straight is the street they call Ermine
The reason's not hard to determine
The Romans had planned
To pinch all the land
From the Brits, whom they treated as vermine
